Immune Sensitivity Testing – Dr. Hill Reveals Shocking Personal Results
When was the last time your doctor was willing to share their test results with you? Having a hard time answering that? I thought so.
In this video, I am pulling back the blinds and reveal the results of my immune sensitivity testing. Wow, what I learned caught me off guard. But it also gave me hope as well. Could this information be what you have been looking for?
Transcript: Shocking Immune Sensitivity Test Results
Have you ever wondered if your doctor does the tests that they recommend for you? Hi, I’m Dr. Arland Hill, and today I’m gonna share with you the results of my ELISA ACT sensitivity profile that I did, which is a test that I routinely order for my patients. I was having a couple of random symptoms that I just couldn’t quite put my finger on where they were coming from.
And so I thought, you know what, what do I do with my patients when this comes up? I order sensitivity testing with them, I wanna see what their immune system is reacting to, and let me tell ya, I’m glad I did this, because it was pretty revealing. And I’m gonna share with you what it shared with me.
The Big Reveal – What I Found
So I’ve got these results, now we printed it out here, and I’m gonna walk you through what I learned that I was reactive to (on my immune sensitivity testing), where I probably ended up reacting to it from, and then also, what I did about it. So right at the top of my list was flaxseed oil. Now a lot of you are gonna say, well, flaxseed oil’s a pretty healthy oil. Why would you eat flaxseed, if you’re eating the seeds, it’s a good fiber source, and that’s all true.
Immune Sensitivity Testing Shows Reactive to Healthy Food
And you’ll notice that that’s a theme as I go through these results. Some of these things that I’m gonna share with you that I’m reactive to, things like this that I find patients are reactive to sometimes, these are not necessarily inherently bad items, or refined foods, if you will. They’re just foods that we’ve started to develop responses to, and in my case, and this is a common one, it was because I was consuming it too frequently.
I’ll often use flaxseed as an additive to my smoothies, so when I made my smoothie in the morning, and I was throwing my ingredients in here, a lot of times, more times than not, I would throw flaxseed, or flaxseed meal in here as an addition to that. So no longer can I do that. Now, what did I do in its place?
Alternatives are a Must
Well … I started using a mixture of different fibers, instead. And so I use chia seeds as an option, I used a source of modified citrus pectin, so pectin is another option here, there’s a couple of other fiber sources in this. And then I used a fourth one here, which is like green banana and potato starch, resistance starches as another category.
The point being on this is that I got away from using one or two sources of fiber, and started more aggressively rotating these fibers that I was consuming. So again, I wasn’t consuming the same thing as frequently, and setting myself up for a reaction that showed up over here.
Immune Sensitivity Testing Says It’s Not Just Food
Now, what else am I reacting to? Well, I showed up to coconut. Lo and behold, turns out that when we went back, and my wife and I, we analyzed, and we realized this reaction, where was I coming up with a coconut reaction? You’ll see I’ve got a lot of milks here, in front of me, so a lot of alternative milks, if you will.
One of these was coconut. We were consuming too much coconut milk, and I’ve got coconut oil down here, a lot of folks like to use an extra virgin coconut oil to cook with, they’re all coconut. And so, I had to eliminate these. In addition, to these common, these sources, the milks, the oils, that we were using in the kitchen, in the cooking environment, wow did we ever get our eyes opened when we took a closer look in our bathroom, and all the cosmetics.
Listen, we have been very attentive to toxicity, and we’ve made choices that have tried to eliminate toxins, and if you pick up a common cosmetic, you’ll notice that there’s a, read the ingredients list, you’ll shake your head at why some of these things are in here, most of which you can’t pronounce, right?
A Look Past the Obvious
So we’ve already gone past that. So we took the next step, and we started examining, and we noticed a common theme with toothpaste, with shampoos, with soaps, is that most of these clean sources use coconut in some form or fashion. Here’s the point, not only was I ingesting coconut, not every day, but frequently enough, but I was also putting it in my mouth, in my toothpaste. I was putting it on my skin, on my scalp.
I was having daily exposure to coconut, and I’m reactive to it … it’s gotta go. So we found alternative sources. Was it easy? No, it wasn’t easy to find these things, and it’s even kinda kicked us into gear to starting to consider making some of these on our own, just so we can know where every ingredient is coming from. But the point being is the coconut’s out. So you really have to look beyond even the obvious sources, and look into some of the non-obvious sources.
Immune Sensitivity Reactions Can be Spicy
What else did I have on here? Well, I also had coriander. Our pantry, we love spices. Spices can add so much flavor to your food. But what we did is pull these spices back, and here’s the short story, here’s the synopsis. We ended up with a grocery bag of spices that are going to someone else, because they all had coriander in them, and no matter how much I like them, and no matter how much flavor they add to the food, putting that coriander in my body is creating an immune (sensitivity) response. It is a very similar reaction to what we get with a virus, or a bacteria. It’s gotta go.
Are Immune Sensitivity Reactions Nutty?
Next on my list, another one that was in here, macadamia nut. Macadamia nut, probably crept in. I do like macadamia nuts, not so much anymore, of course, but macadamia nut oil. I like macadamia nut oil, it’s a phenomenal source, adds a little nutty flavor to whether you’re using it as a salad dressing, or in a smoothie.
But I also like this for the health benefits, because it contains an Omega-9, as well as an Omega-7, which we don’t hear enough about. The Omega-9, is known as oleic acid, but I use this very frequently for that benefit. Well, that had to go, I can’t use that anymore, so apart from the macadamia nut, and the coconut, I’m using several other oils here as well, that I rotate in and out.
Whey More Than I Wanted to Consider
You’ll see we’ve got here pumpkin seed, almond, pecan, olive, avocado, so there’s just several different other choices we can use. Now, I wanna share some things with you, too, that were eye opening to me. Dairy. I didn’t eat a lot of dairy, period. When I did eat dairy, it was pretty much only a whey protein, maybe once a week, once every other week, and it was from a non-denatured clean as you can find whey protein source. Didn’t matter.
I still ended up reacting to it, still gotta take it out. Point being, doesn’t matter how clean the food source is, whether it’s organic, non-organic, if your body’s reacting to it, and in this case, I was also tested against is it raw, is it pasteurized? I’m reacting to all of them, they’ve got to go. Dairy, not my friend.
Now here’s the positive though. Goat milk, goat cheese, sheep, these are okay for me. So if I use a dairy source that is non-cow, non-bovine derived, that’s going to be fine, i can still utilize that as part of my diet, on occasion, not every day.
Banned Chemicals Show Up on Immune Sensitivity Testing
And then here’s one that really kinda caught me off-guard. DDT. If you follow our videos, one of the things that you’ll notice is that we moved to the country several months back now, and we moved back here for the sole purpose, not for the sole purpose, one of the reasons we moved out here is so we can have clean sourcing on food. We didn’t have to worry about herbicides and pesticides. We could grow our own produce and meats. And we just didn’t have to ask these questions.
Well, lo and behold, I end up reactive to DDT, are you kidding me? This is a pesticide, an herbicide, pesticide that is no longer used in the United States. It should not be found in food, in the United States, oh, but lo and behold, it is. Food comes in from out of the country, and while there are restrictions for DDT use in the United States, not so much the case in other countries.
How Easy It is to Become Reactive
So when I travel, when I’m out speaking professionally, and working on the road, I have to make the best choice, and here’s the key takeaway from this. Even the best choice sometimes doesn’t make it toxin free. Think about that, and just, this is why we always say, as much as you can possibly choose where your food is coming from, as much control as you can have over that, you have to do that, because otherwise, you’re gonna end up with a reaction to DDT.
I’ve got a pesticide laying in my body that we’re working to clear out now. So nonetheless, we’ve made some overhauls, we’ve made some changes. Has it been easy? No. What am I gonna do with this, well for six months these things are out. After six months, I’ll slowly start to reintroduce these.
We’ve come up with some alternatives, like on the milk here, you can see, we went ultra clean on these milks, because one of the reactions I had was to a gum. The ingredient list on these milk walnuts, walnut milk, is filtered water and walnut, that’s it. So no more of the gums, those are all outs, because within time, they’re just gonna create a reaction as well.
So in six months, we’ll try reintroducing some of these things, see where I’m at, retest at about twelve months, and see what I’ve reacted to or what I’ve kept reacting to. And then whatever I’m still reacting to at twelve months, those things are out, most likely indefinitely.
Immune Sensitivity Testing – Is It Right for You?
So does your doctor test and use the same test that he orders on you? Well, in my case, I did, and I’m very glad that I did, and clearly this is a test that I’ll keep using with my patients, because of the profound information that I was able to glean from it. So if you know someone out there who can benefit from having a greater understanding of what food sensitivities can do for them, how they can actually implement this, this is one of the biggest challenges, actually getting these things implemented, getting these changes implemented. We’re all creatures of habit. Not a good thing in the big scheme of things.
