Asparagine for Autoimmunity, Why Don’t You Know About It?

Asparagine, a simple amino acid, could be a major ally in your struggle with autoimmunity.  Are you familiar with it?  Probably not, but don’t feel bad about that.  Frankly, between you and I, even many health care professionals are not familiar with it either.  In fairness, it’s only talked about within limit circles.  But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t know about it.  In fact, when it comes to managing your autoimmunity, not knowing about asparagine is the same as accepting more pain, fatigue, brain fog, inflammation and dysfunction.

Let’s get right to the point.  Autoimmunity is your immune system in a state of confusion.  It is reacting against you rather than working for you.  Where does asparagine fit in you ask?  Asparagine is the difference between your immune system seeing your body’s own structures as normal or something that it should react against.  More specifically, your immune system thinks you are a bug, and not a good one.  For example, when asparagine is present, everything looks as it should to your immune system.  No bug, no reason to attack.  When asparagine is not present, or deficient, now you have a problem.  What looked normal, now mimics a bacteria or fungus.

If you are reading this, you or someone you know is likely dealing with autoimmunity.  Autoimmunity can be a bit confusing.  After all your immune system is attacking you.  Ideally it should limit attacks to foreign substances or organisms such as bacteria and viruses.  When an autoimmune condition is present, have you ever thought to ask yourself, what caused my immune system to turn on me?  What changed that caused the immune system to suddenly flip.  And I do mean suddenly.
